Social Studies: Grade 3

Service Description

In 2nd grade students will focus on learning about people who make a difference in their lives, and historical figures who have made a difference in American culture and government. In 3rd grade, students will focus on thinking about change in their local community and study people who have made an impact on their environment. Students will study the history of their home state of California in 4th grade, and the development of the nation in 5th grade. All grades will build on their knowledge of geography, chronology, and civics through a variety of texts and writing activities. All social studies classes are aligned with California History-Social Science Framework Standards. (Students can enroll week-by-week.)
